On November 30, Regional Plan Association will release a long-range, strategic plan for the New York-New Jersey-Connecticut metropolitan area, the fourth in the history of the region.

The plan identifies strategies to broaden prosperity and invest in communities; build modern infrastructure that boosts economic competitiveness; reduce inequities that lead to poor health and limit opportunity; and adopt innovative solutions to adapt to a changing climate. It includes ideas to be adopted today as well as a vision for the next twenty years.

The plan is anchored around four overarching actions:
